The Excelis MPX-20RC captures images with excellent color reproduction at 14fps (full  resolution) via USB 3.0 connection to a Windows or MacOS computer.  The built-in cooling of the MPX-20RC allows for low-light imaging with greatly reduced noise, making this camera a cross-over image device for many applications including fluorescence (the MPX-20RC is significantly more sensitive than the previous ICX285  CCD benchmark; see image).  View live images and control all features of the MPX-20RC with our FREE CaptaVision+ software for Windows and MacOS.  The combination of the 2.4μm pixels, high 20MP resolution, low noise and high sensitivity make the MPX-20RC a great choice for low magnification imaging such as using stereo microscopes, and as an all-around capture device.

The MPX-20C is based on the Sony Exmor® IMX183 CMOS camera sensor.  The rolling shutter still delivers crisp images at 15fps.  With back-illumination, the IMX183 sensor provides all three advantages of high resolution, high sensitivity and high dynamic range.  Use binning during imaging to achieve faster frame rates.

The Excelis MPX-20RC is fully compliant with the McCain National Defense Authorization Act 889 (NDAA 889)!  It does not use any electronics or components from prohibited suppliers. You can learn more at the Federal Register.
